Got a mini globetrotter or wanderlust-filled little one at home? Prepare to awe them with a visit to the soon-to-be opened Gulliver’s Gate. Named in honor of Jonathan Swift’s book Gulliver’s Travels, the Manhattan attraction features miniature scale models of real-life locations, sites and scenes from around the globe. The venue also boasts functioning parts of displays, such as moving cars and people. Much like its namesake, Gulliver’s Gate aims to inspire adventure to hidden, magical places.

Attention to detail is what sets this spot apart. In terms of transportation, you’ll find everything from wagons, trains, cars, trucks and planes (there is even a fully operational airport with planes taking off and departing!). The intricately designed features complement the stunningly detailed landmarks, such as the Taj Mahal and Eiffel Tower, and the realistic figures and wildlife. These exhibits fit most of the world in just 50,000 feet of interactive miniatures.

You can check out exhibits of Latin America, NYC, Asia, Europe, Russia and the Middle East. Each exhibit was built by teams from the respective locations; it doesn’t get more authentic than that! Check out the lights of the Big Apple, then step over to the Great Wall of China, the Parthenon and so on.

The coolest part of the exhibition may just be the “citizen” program. Early visitors to the venue have a shot at getting their bodies scanned and recreated into figurines in the display, making them citizens of Gulliver’s Gate! Citizens get a photo of their mini-selves, plus a passport that grants them special pricing and access to Gulliver’s any time.
