Easter Events in NJ

There are lots of Easter themed parades, hunts and breakfasts, but these are the ones you won't want to miss.

Easter Bunny Fly-In

When: April 4
Where: Solberg Airport, Whitehouse Station, NJ
Time: 3 pm
Cost: Free (though optional activities are extra)

This is one unconventional Easter event. Sure its got photo ops with the Easter Bunny, but he arrives in true style—on an airplane! And there is plenty to do post-meet-and-greet. With a bounce house, face painting and the kids can even run around inside a hot air balloon, before they watch a hot air balloon launch at 5:30 pm.

The Easter Bunny Express

When: March 28 & 29, April 3 & 4
Where: 80 Stangl Road, Flemington, NJ 08822
Time: Times vary
Cost: 12 and up is $16, Ages 3-11 are $9 and under 3 are free. Reservations are required.

The Easter Bunny Express takes you on a roundtrip ride between their Flemington and Ringoes station. The ride between stations is 25 minutes long (perfect if the kids want to get up and out to stretch their legs) and the whole adventure ends with a 15 minute stop at their gift car and museum car. Oh, and you'll get to meet Peter Cottontail along the ride.

Helicopter Easter Egg Drop

When: March 28
Where: 701 New Hampshire Ave.,  Somers Point,  NJ
Time: 12 noon

This event is technically filled up, but you can still sign up on the waitlist, which is totally worth it. This church has a helicopter fly-over, when they drop the eggs from the sky before the kids get to go find them. So cool!

Flashlight EggStravaganza

When: March 31, 2015
Where: Kateri Environmental Center, 160 Conover Road, Marlboro
Cost: The event is $8 per child. Photos with the Easter Bunny are an additional fee. This event is for kids 4 and up.

Pack your flashlights for this one! This egg hunt is a true challenge. Wait until the sun sets before heading outside to look for treasure. Definitely a cool experience you won't want to miss. And you can meet the Easter Bunny, too.

23rd Annual Easter Bunny Express

Date: April 4
Time: 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm.
Cost: $14/adult, $9/child, free/under 1 yr. Registration required.

These annual spring train rides are sure to become an annual tradition for your family—what kid doesn't love riding on a train? And when you add in a meet-and-greet with the Easter Bunny and the train crew, this 45-minute round-trip ride along the Morristown and Erie Railway’s historic Whippanong Trail is sure to be a family favorite.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

When: April 4
Where: Liberty Hall Museum, Union.
Time: Times vary.
Cost: $5/adult, $10/child. Reg. required.

The grounds of the museum are a beautifully landscaped adventure, so there's lots of neat hiding places for eggs. Kids can run through the hedges to find hidden eggs filled with holiday treats. After they can visit with the famous Easter Bunny!

When: March 28,29 and April 4th
Where: 99 Elizabeth Street Phillipsburg, New Jersey 08865
Time: Times vary
Cost: $11/ children, $18/person.

This Easter Bunny train has the coolest rest stop ever—at the historic Lime Kilns, where kids can wander around and look for eggs. The train ride itself goes along the Delaware River to Carpentersville and features visits from Bunny before heading back to Phillipsburg.

Bunny Chase

When: April 4 & 5
Where: Terhune Orchards, Princeton
Time: 10 am - 4 pm

The Bunny Chase is back for another year. The kids will go on a treasure hunt, following clues to find a big surprise (we'll give you a hint—this is a BUNNY Chase). They'll also make a bunny craft, go on a wagon ride and get to see tons of farm animals.

Morey's Pier Annual Easter Celebration
