Dentistry for Children

Hassam Sultan, DMD, MS

Specialty: Pediatric Dentistry

At Dentistry for Children, kids are truly cared for beyond the walls of the office. Dr. Hassam Sultan and his team believe that each child deserves a beautiful smile, and that patients and their families should always feel both comfortable and confident.

Providing Stress-Free Dental Care

A board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Sultan gets to know his patients and builds long-lasting relationships with their families. He provides stress-free dental and orthodontic treatments by incorporating the latest technologies into his practice, such as radiation-free imaging and silver diamine fluoride as a noninvasive way to prevent cavities and hold off on treatment that may not be necessary.

“We provide the highest standard of care while still giving parents the reassurance that their child is being take care of…and having a fun experience,” he says.

A Little Tooth Talk and a Little Fun

Known for his easygoing personality, Dr. Sultan’s focus on preventive care helps patients maintain healthy smiles that last a lifetime. “I want kids to know that I’m here to help them, so we do everything very slowly,” he says. “My staff and I take the time to explain exactly what we’re doing and address any questions or concerns the child may have.”

Dr. Sultan earned his DMD at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine while completing an MS in biomedical engineering. He completed his pediatric dental residency at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, where he received extensive training in interceptive orthodontics as well as treating children with special health care needs.

“We’re dental professionals who know how to have a good time—we provide comprehensive dental care while teaching kids that going to the dentist doesn’t have to be scary,” he says. “We laugh and smile more than most doctors to make sure that each patient has the best experience they can possibly have.”

"He always takes the time to make my children comfortable. He explains everything to them and answers all their questions always." -Christine, Rutherford

"Very patient and understanding of the special needs community. I have complete trust in Dr. Sultan's care of all of my children." -Laura, Clifton
