Check Those Chicken Nuggets! Some Tyson and Perdue Nuggets Have Been Recalled

It’s a bad day for your chicken nugget lovers. Tyson and Perdue are recalling more than 52,000 pounds of the freezer staple.

Tyson Foods has recalled about 36,420 pounds of chicken nuggets because of a possible contamination of “extraneous materials,” like rubber, according to the Food and Safety Inspection Service. On top of that, Perdue Foods is recalling their Fun Shapes Chicken Breast Nuggets, too.

Before you dig into your freezer, only one specific kind of Tyson Foods’ chicken nuggets needs to be tossed. Check for 5 lb. bags of Tyson White Meat Panko Chicken Nuggets labelled with a “best if used by” date of November 26, 2019, case code “3308SDL03” and time stamps of 23:00 through 01:59.

The company announced the recall after customers complained of extraneous material, and the FSIS was notified on January 29. As of now, there have been no reports of health related issues after eating the golden nuggets.

If you find these in your freezer, either throw them away or return them at the place of purchase. Here’s what to look for:

And before you decide to purge all your dino-nuggets, Perdue Foods is voluntarily recalling 16,011 pounds due to an incorrect labeling of a milk allergy presence. No health problems have been reported in relation to the recall. If they’ve got a “use by date” of March 11, 2019 and lot code date stamp ranging from 17009010-19009010, don’t toss them just yet.

Call Perdue at 866-866-3703 for a full refund.
