Celebrate the Season at these NJ Area Christmas Markets
What a bright time, it’s the right time…to shop at one of these festive markets.

Now through Saturday, December 9, spend your holiday cash at Benkovic Field and help support the local high school’s Project Graduation. The four-night festival includes a tree lighting, ice skating rink, photos with Santa and plenty of gifts and good eats at the Christmas market.
Get in the Christmas spirit with Ukrainian foods, baked goods and holiday wares. There’ll be arts and craft vendors selling Ukrainian Easter eggs, wood crafts, embroidery, jewelry and more. Hop on your sleigh—or your car— and head to the Boris Zacharczuk Grand Ballroom in Jenkintown, PA (outside Philadelphia) on Saturday, December 9.
On Saturday, December 9, bring your family to the Cranford United Methodist Church where more than 45 vendors will be selling crafts and gifts. ’Tis also the season for soup, and this venue is known to sell out. Cranford resident and book author Laura Sassi will host a book reading and signing, too.
Christmas festivities range from shopping for gifts made by local artists to holiday performances to sipping hot toddies. Take photos with Santa or dig into seasonally-inspired menus on weekends December 9-10, 17-23.
You won’t have a problem buying for that special someone, secret Santa or in-law on Sunday, December 10. Entertainment in the form of face painting, balloon twisting and character appearances will be available to your kids. While you’re shopping, keep an eye out for some special giveaways.
From now until Sunday, December 10, stop by the Marketspace pop-up on East Broad Street in Westfield. Check out the revolving selection of handcrafted wares and high-end gifts.
Check out more than 75 tables of gifts on Sunday, December 10 including handbags, jewelry and clothing. There’ll be a special section just for antiques and collectibles, so come ready to bargain.
You don’t need a red nose to guide you to Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark on Saturday, December 16. There’ll be 50 exhibitors displaying all sorts of merchandise at bargain prices. Do some last-minute shopping or find one-of-a-kind gifts.
Support the Hungarian Scouts on Saturday, December 16 in New Brunswick with every craft, gift and food item you purchase. There’ll be music and dance performances every hour, plus crafts for the kiddos.
Spend Sunday, December 17 in Jersey City. While you’re scoring awesome presents at the stalls, the kids can watch a magician or puppet show, try face painting, balloon animals and crafts or take selfies with Santa.
Looking for last minute gifts? No problem. Head to the Happy Holiday Market in Jersey City on Monday, December 18 and Thursday, December 21. The Artist & Maker Market is working with the farmer's market to produce locally made jewelry, candles, speciality food and more.
Head to Bethlehem, PA anytime through Saturday, December 23 and peruse the Christkindlmarkt’s showcase of handmade items. While you shop, listen to live Christmas music, sample the foods and more.
Asbury Park’s European Christmas market finds its inspiration in Austrian, Italian and French traditions. This open-air market sells food, drinks and hand-crafted seasonal gifts. Make sure to visit before it closes on Saturday, December 23.
From now until Saturday, December 30, check out the Christmas Village at Skylands Stadium in Augusta (after visiting the mile-long tunnel of lights). There’ll be a real-life Santa granting Christmas wishes and posing for pictures. And it’s the perfect spot to score some unique holiday gifts and try the festive food and drink.
