Only about half of women in the US diagnosed with breast cancer are given the option of breast reconstruction. Dr. Peter Hyans, Chair of the Department of Surgery and Surgical Specialties at Summit Medical Group is working to change that. NJTV's Joanna Gagis sits down with him to discuss important strides that have been made in the world of breast cancer detection and treatment, plus why mastectomies should never feel like a patient's only choice.
